Since our last meeting of vacation rental owners (VRO) earlier this year, a small task force of VROs has been gathering to assess ways to serve you at VROs and ways for VROs to build good will with the community. This open meeting is our attempt to connect chamber member VROs with the larger community of VROs on a few specific topics:
- The Chamber is setting up a Facebook group for VROs to share information, special volume discounts and details on opportunities for us to elevate our voice as a group.
- In response to the Town's new system for collecting noise complaints from the community, we've had a conversation with a company called Noise Aware who is willing to offer a volume discount if this community finds the services to be valuable.
- One way we can gain more trust and credibility with the community is to make an impact on the workforce housing shortage. We'd like to pitch an idea that would be "sponsored" in name by the Vacation Rental Council. There's no cost to attend whether you are a member or not.
On that note, we are encouraging vacation rental owners who are not managing a brand or a property management company to join the Chamber as an associate member. It's only $150. You can find more details and sign up at esteschamber.org/members.
Most importantly, we hope to see you on the call May 4.
