Estes Park customarily hosts over 500 Summer Work Travel exchange participants on a J-1 Visa to fill our summer workforce needs. The past few years have been a challenge for the program. The Chamber has been working with host companies to provide a more seamless experience for the workers and the employers. We have been interviewing other chambers in tourism towns to learn how they are supporting the J1 program and providing a great experience for these visiting students from around the world.
InterExchange has been a valuable resource in our efforts to help our members with J1 host requirements, workforce housing, and assistance with worker documentation. Clay Lewis and Kevin McGowan have agreed to provide our members with some strategies to get your application in and arrangements made for summer 2022. We might have a few other agencies on the call. If you would like to connect the Chamber with the host agency you have been working with, please connect them with director@esteschamber.org.
