The mission of the Estes Valley Library is to bring people, ideas, and opportunities together for the enrichment of our community. The Library District spans the town of Estes Park, plus the surrounding region including Glen Haven and Pinewood Springs. Library patrons have access to over a million items, both physical and digital content, through the Village Catalog, a partnership with all 4 school libraries (Elementary, Middle, High School, and Eagle Rock School).
The Library also has an extensive Library of Things including items like telescopes, critter cams, baking pans, and more for patrons to check out and use at home. Other resources available include internet computers and printing services as well as free 24/7 Wi-Fi, indoors and out. The Makerspace offers a room for hands-on creativity and collaboration, equipped with tools, craft supplies, and project kits. Learn new skills through workshops that include 3D Printing and Laser Engraving.
One way the Library lives out its mission of bringing people together is through Community Programs, including Book Clubs and Preschool Storytimes (Thurs., Fri., and Sat. mornings, and Wed. evenings). Outreach services to children include Discovery Packs (educational activities for kids) and free books mailed to preschoolers. We also provide live online homework help (7 days a week), live online job help (resumes, interviewing), and Free Legal Self-Help Clinics (monthly). Book deliveries to the homebound are available through the House Calls program.
